Diversability Inc. is a registered affiliate of the Sibling Support Project, with certification to facilitate Sibshops. Sibshops are for siblings of people experiencing diversabilities. Siblings often become lost among the therapeutic needs of their sibling with a diversability. Sibshops are special times for siblings to participate in fun activities, learn advocacy strategies and self-care techniques, and engage with other siblings sharing similar experiences.
Sibshops strive to provide a safe, comfortable space for sharing honestly about what it's like to be the sibling of someone experiencing diversabilities. Our Sibling Support Programs envision a society in which Sibs are acknowledged and honored for who they are and the role they play in complicated family dynamics involving diversabilities.

Adult Sibs & Sib Mentors provide group facilitation based on their years of personal experience!
youth sibshop
On the first Saturday of every month during the school year, brothers and sisters ages 5-18 who have a sibling experiencing diversabilities, are encouraged to come hang out together! Sibshop provides a space for Sibs to hang out, share stories, play and create things together. This is a time for siblings to share wisdom and understanding, enjoy fun activities, as well as learn self-care techniques and advocacy strategies. It is a wonderful, special time that is all about Sibs!

Offered once a year during the summer months, Summer Sibshop is a multiple day, themed experience for Sibs.
2023 - Sparks Lake: Paddling adventures on one of our beloved lakes!
2022 - DIY Days: Two days of do-it-yourself projects! From edible, to wearable, to functional, Sibs learn independence and get creative!
2021 - A Day at the Lake: Sibs spent the day at Elk Lake paddle boarding, swimming and tubing. Fun in the sun enjoying the water and beautiful mountain views. A day to remember!
2020 - Adventures in Our Backyard: Day one included walking along the Deschutes River. Day two found us exploring the High Desert Museum, experiencing Central Oregon’s historical roots.
